In the month of April, Beth and I will be debuting our collaboration, Overlap, at Rare Device. We have two occasions to represent our work, on First Friday, April 6th; and during the Divisadero Art Walk on April 12th. We're both fans of fashion and I rather enjoy fantasizing about outfit options for both events. Here's my short list for each night.

It just feels so right to love something so wrong. Right, ladies? Right?

Always a fan of weirdo shoes. Sneakers with heels? Yes, please. Fake neon combat boots with a wedge? Oh yah. These shoes would have made me dry heave a few years ago, but suddenly I feel like I must have them.

And where can you find these beauties, you ask? I like Nasty Gal, Karma Loop, Topshop, Pixie Market, and Oak NYC.

Summer Sales. So sexy the way those two words roll off my tongue. Totokaelo is giving up some merch at reduced, though still ridiculous, prices. I can almost entertain owning a Yohji Yamamoto jacket, or a Rick Owens dress. There are tons of sale accessories, which I find soothing to purchase online. Go forth and shop. Then let me borrow it.

Kim H. sent me a message about a sweet collaboration between Uniqlo and a bevy of assorted designers, artists, and pop culture fixtures. Fashion house Cacharel, Japanese Manga Naruto, and Director Jim Jarmusch, among others have teamed up with Uniqlo to offer some takes on tees. Some are silly (see Naruto), some are pretty darn ugly (see Warner Bros. or Disney), and some are working for me. Here are my picks.
